Kerry Shih
Chief Strategist and Founder

Communicado's Chief Strategist and Founder, Kerry Shih, has over ten years of experience creating market-changing IP technologies. Mr. Shih ran the company in bootstrap mode for more than three years, during which time the company acquired over 200 enterprise customers, won Internet Telephony's Product of the Year award, was a finalist for Price Waterhouse Coopers' coveted Entrepreneurship award in 2006, and was the Technology Council of Southern California entrepreneur of the year in 2007. Mr. Shih was instrumental in creating significant sales traction for Communicado with major carriers and resellers and closing funding from tier-one venture capitalists.

Prior to founding Communicado as SyncVoice Communications, Mr. Shih served as the lead software engineer for Web ALG, where he created a communications platform for handling financial transactions for Wells Fargo, Chase Manhattan, and Bank One. The platform encompassed sophisticated IP protocols and integrated the business rules of over 20 different major banking institutions. Web ALG was acquired by Dealertrack, a JP Morgan Chase backed company, which recently went public (NASDAQ: TRAK).

Before joining Web ALG, Mr. Shih served as Vice President of Technology for ePacific, a banking technology group owned by Goleta National Bank. At ePacific, he developed the technology for processing ATM transactions over the Internet. The banking platform was the first of its kind to enable e-commerce businesses to handle pure debit card purchasing over IP-based networks.

Mr. Shih holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Economics and Accounting.
