Panel to Discuss the Minimum Customers Should Expect from the Service Provider Managing their Networks
The Streamline Service Management Platform Satisfies the Demand for the Outsourcing of Convergence Management
COSTA MESA, Calif. - September 06, 2007 - Bringing together key IP Communications industry experts, Communicado, formerly known as SyncVoice Communications, a leading provider of management software for converged communications, and TMC, a leading industry publisher and conference producer, today announced they will jointly host a debate on the Bill of Rights for Converged Communications. The debate will take place on September 11th, at TMC's Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO West 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Room 502 at 2:30 p.m.
The event was orchestrated because converged communications is new territory and global service standards have yet to be defined. The debate will be moderated by INTERNET TELEPHONY Editor Erik Linask and feature David J. Lemelin, Senior Analyst at In-Stat, Communicado Founder and Chief Strategist Kerry Shih, Telechemy Founder and CEO Dr. Alan Clark, and Homer Jamison, CEO of Network Focus. The experts will offer a lively discussion on what customers can and should expect from their VAR or managed service provider in managing their converged networks before the moderator opens it up to audience participation.
"As business customers make the transition to VoIP for voice and other person-to-person real-time applications in order to become more agile and competitive, they should expect a sufficient level of support from the service provider who will manage their networks," said Communicado's Founder and Chief StrategistKerry Shih. "With the Converged Communications User Bill of Rights, they are now armed with guidelines, such as a guarantee of human acknowledgement of any problem within five minutes, to make sure their converged communications solution delivers the benefits it should, with minimal risk."
"We are very pleased to assemble this discussion on the Converged Communications User Bill of Rights and we are confident that attendees will appreciate and value the opportunity to hear the many perspectives on how to make their service provider accountable for their converged communications solutions," said TMC president and conference chairman, Rich Tehrani. "Over the past twelve months, widespread deployment of IP Communications services by global service providers, businesses, and governments has reinforced that this exciting technology is a viable, cost-effective communications solution. As a result, we are seeing a significant number of senior-level executives attending Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO to learn more about the technology so they can make critical decisions affecting their own business."
Internet Telephony Conference & EXPO, to be held September 10-12, is the world's largest and best-attended IP Communications trade show. The last ITEXPO, held in January in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, drew more than 7,100 buyers and sellers of IP Communications products and services. For the upcoming show in September, TMC projects an attendance of 7,500.
